Saudi Arabia remains a central US partner in the Gulf and has faced Houthi-claimed strikes linked to the wider conflict, including a claimed attack near an Aramco facility in Riyadh reported over the weekend.
Al Jazeera said Murphy posted that he was in the region "to view war damage, talk to our partners about the impact of the war, and meet with those who are working to end the conflict." Candor Post could not independently verify the condition of US facilities he plans to inspect.
