LAHORE — The Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday named opening batter Sahibzada Farhan captain for the three-match Twenty20 International series against Sri Lanka, with Shaheen Shah Afridi retaining the one-day captaincy for a seven-match tri-series that also features England, Geo News reported.
Farhan, 30, takes over the T20I side from Salman Ali Agha, who led Pakistan at this year's T20 World Cup, according to Cricbuzz. Farhan was the top scorer at that tournament with 383 runs and recently captained Pakistan to a silver medal at the Asian Games.
All three T20Is will be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Oct. 9, 11 and 13.
